The palace of Ozum...
Ozum paced nervously. He hated being nervous. It reminded him of the one time he was enslaved. He hated even thinking about
that time, because of the fear it brought back...
He shook it off. No time for bad memories right now. He needed to plan. If he WAS back, then drastic measures needed to
A snake demon slithered in, a giant, silver-scaled cobra with ruby-red eyes. Ozum glared at him, recognizing him as the
agent he sent out to find the source of what was disturbing him.
"REPORT," Ozum snarled.
The demon bowed. "My lord, sssseveral entitiessss have entered the Shadowlands. Two of them, a human woman named Alia Falcos,
who apparently has command of a ssssspirit of sssssome kind, and a werewolf, a criminal named rip rowdman who has managed
to evade the law in Sithicus AND nocturne, have sssstarted towards here, and shall be at the borders within the week. Apparently
they are heading for the SSSSSSSoul Train."
Ozum chuckled as he remembered his toy. "AND? WHAT OF THE OTHER THREE?"
"One issss Sheng Long, from that rogue group that the Counsssil Of Shadowssss banished from their realm. They were the
ones who believed they could resssssssurect the Shade Lord by simply creating a new body for him, and bonding the soul of
another, powerful shadow to his essence."
Ozum began to get even more worried. "A MAD PLAN AT BEST, AND IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCOMPLISH, SINCE NONE OF THEM KNOW THE PROPER
MAGIC. WHO ARE THE OTHER TWO?"
"One isss an entity called Marionette, the other issss called Shadow. Their powerssss are reversssed, sssso Shadow is the
possssesssor while Marionette isss the shape-shifter, A wild shadow tried to merge with Marionette, in an attempt to reproduce,
but Shadow forced the creature out of her and drained it. Marionette, in anger, used a magic I have never seen before to turn
the wild shadow into a wooden puppet. It's soul was apparently extinguished." the snake demon paused, as if nervous to continue.
Ozum noticed that the snake demon was nervous, and frowned.
"WELL? WHAT ELSE IS THERE?" Ozum roared, his eyes glowing.
"I'm afraid your fears may be validated, my lord. Shadow has referred to Sheng Long as his father on more than one occasion.
If it's true, then the Hated One has been freed from his prison," the snake demon gulped, realizing what he was saying, "Not
that you would ever fear anything, my lord..."
Ozum ignored him. The fact that the hated one was back was bad enough, but working with Sheng Long's group? "HAVE HIS POWERS
"Some, not all. Only minor abilities."
The Demon King pondered the situation and grinned. The snake demon gulped. Ozum smiling usually means someone gets slaughtered.
The creature just hoped it wouldn't be him.
"NOW I KNOW WHAT THOSE FOOLS WANTED," Ozum chuckled turned back to the snake demon. "ZADARAK. I WANT YOU TO BRING ROWDMAN,
SHADOW, and SHENG LONG TO ME. USE WHATEVER MEANS YOU DEEM NECESSARY. BUT TRY AND BE SUBTLE ABOUT IT, AND DON'T ATTRACT DEMITRI'S
ATTENTION. I HAVE NO DESIRE TO DEAL WITH THAT FOOL RIGHT NOW."
Zadarak nodded, sighing in relief. "What of Marionette and the human?"
"IF MY THEORY IS CORRECT, THEN SHENG LONG'S GROUP NEEDS ALL FOUR OF THEM. THIS CAN EASILY BE COUNTERACTED BY LEAVING THEM
IN THE BURNING SANDS. I MYSELF HAVE NO NEED OF THEM, SO YOU CAN DISPOSE OF THEM THERE. AS FOR SHADOW, WELL..."
Ozum walked over to a window, looking over the firey, volcanic landscapes of his fire demons. "I HAVE SOME... OLD BUSINESS...
I WISH TO DISCUSS WITH HIM..."
Zadarak nodded and slithered out of the room as quickly as he could to do what his master commanded. Ozum watched him go
"WELL WELL, MALKEN. WE MEET AGAIN. MAYBE THIS TIME, I'LL SIMPLY KILL YOU, INSTEAD OF LETTING YOU BE LOCKED AWAY"
To be continued...
